About Project Justice Colorado

Project Justice Colorado is a resource for survivors of domestic violence and coercive control who enter the family court.

Our Vision

We collect data on the Colorado family court systems to provide insight into necessary reform that aims to protect survivors and children in the family court.

Resources

  • Connection: We empower families by building bridges between those directly impacted, reform advocates, and decision-makers, fostering a collective voice.
  • Collaboration: Change is only possible when we unite diverse perspectives. Together, we create bold, meaningful solutions to longstanding systemic issues.
  • Collection: Stories have power, and data drives change. By gathering real experiences and hard evidence, we illuminate the systemic failures and severe gaps and demand reform.

Why We Exist

Family court systems have operated in the shadows, with limited publicly available data to help families—or policymakers—understand the systemic issues driving fatal outcomes. This lack of transparency obscures patterns of harm and prevents meaningful reform that could better protect children. At Project Justice Colorado, we work to turn experiences into data that can drive lasting change.

Join Us in Building a Just Future For Children

Together, we can work towards transforming the family courts from systems of harm into systems of safety for children. Every child matters, every story counts, and every step forward brings us closer.
